Collaboration with “JUNYA WATANABE MAN”

FILSON was established in 1897 as an outdoor manufacturer to challenge the gold rush in Seattle, Washington, USA. It is a workwear brand that continues to be loved by people around the world, including hunters, engineers, adventurers, etc. with the finest natural materials and uncompromising design and sewing. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection of JUNYA WATANABE MAN collaborates with such a historic workwear brand. A collection of 41 looks based on FILSON's signature "Macquino Cruiser Jacket", which has been loved for more than a century, were presented in the Paris collection. The shop on the 1st floor of Sapporo PARCO is a rare complex in Japan with men from "COMME des GARCHONS HOMME" and "JUNYA WATANABE MAN" as well as women from "tao" and "JUNYA WATANABE". "I liked the president of the office and often took me to the shop, so the first brand I bought was COMME des GarÇONS. At that time, I had no savings at all, and after a few days of trouble, I remembered that I went back to the store and bought slacks. I liked it so much that I had worn it every day for three or four years. But there was a hole in the back pocket.…I was cutting off my socks and bottoms, sewing them from the back and repairing them while wearing them. Still, it was broken and crumbled, so now I keep it in a safe place. Even after that, my favorite clothes are COMME des GARÇONS, and I like the shirts that I collaborated with Basquiat and often wear them.
In everyday life, when you go to and from shooting scenes, there are many fashions that emphasize function, such as comfortable wearing and excellent ventilation, but when you go to a special place, you choose "weight" fashion in many ways. Good brand clothes are not light. When you wear it, you have a solid weight, and you can get an elegant strength from its heavy feeling. It gives you confidence that you will be able to make yourself look bigger and bigger.”

Ryuta Bando

Born on May 24, 1997, was born in New York, United States, and raised in Hokkaido. Actor debuted in 2017. He won the Toshiko Minami Award for the 32nd Japan Film Critics Award for the Rookie Actor (Toshiko Minami Award) at the 32nd Japan Film Critics Award for "Futarino Sekai" (2022). Major appearances include "Wakamusha" and theatrical anime "Fureru." The drama "The Lion's hideout" (all in 2024). In "How to Forget You" released in January this year, he starred in the film alone for the first time, and was in charge of dubbing the role of Hick in the currently released movie "Hick and Dragon".
